THE ROLE:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Shipfinex, you will take independent ownership of features and

subsystems, design and build scalable solutions, and play a key role in shaping the technical

direction of our platform. You will work across the full stack—React on the frontend, NestJS on the

backend, and MongoDB as the primary data store—while collaborating closely with product,

design, and infrastructure teams. We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, makes

sound architectural decisions, and raises the bar for everyone around them.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design, develop,



and maintain scalable web applications using React (frontend), NestJS

(backend), and MongoDB.

• Own features end-to-end—from requirements clarification through architecture,

implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Write production-grade, well-tested, and maintainable code that meets high standards of

quality and reliability.

• Participate in system design discussions, evaluate architectural trade-offs, and propose

solutions for complex technical challenges.

• Proactively clarify ambiguous requirements and identify technical risks early in the

development cycle.

• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.

• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure reliable releases, robust test coverage, and

smooth CI/CD pipeline operations.

• Contribute to improving engineering processes, development workflows, and coding standards

across the team.
