KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Incorporate standard control designs and ancillary subsystems to efficiently design and manufacture in a manner that meets project requirements and facilitates safe, productive startup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Design equipment control systems using established design standards.
- Effectively perform Electrical Design functions, maintaining project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Requisition components for projects maintaining compliance with approved vendor lists.
- Execute electrical designs utilizing current design software (AutoCAD Electrical).
- Contribute as a member of a team of design professionals to achieve project, department, and company goals.
- Assist with the development of new concepts and enhancements of standard designs.
- Effectively support the client Applications Engineering Department including comparing customer specifications against company’s own standards.
- Commissioning support of new equipment.
- Commissioning support for modifications to equipment.
- Provide direction to manufacturing and service as required for execution of designs.
- Attend and participate in departmental and process improvement meetings to improve efficiencies.
- Build professional skill through continued training, education, and networking events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
SKILLED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
o Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
o 5+ years of experience in a design-build manufacturing environment as an Electrical Design Engineer
Skills:
o AutoCAD Electrical experience required. Highly proficient with AutoCAD, ePlan or equivalent platform required.
o Experience applying PLC-based design methodologies.
o Exposure to Allen Bradley PLC’s, HMI’s, and Servo control
o Experience selecting and designing safety schema to mitigate hazards for industrial machinery with safety relays or safety PLCs according to appropriate industrial
