Role Description
The Backup Administrator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining backup and recovery systems across client environments. Day-to-day tasks include managing backup schedules, verifying successful data backups, troubleshooting backup failures, and ensuring data integrity and availability. The Backup Administrator collaborates with technical support teams to resolve issues, optimize storage usage,
and document backup procedures and policies. The role also involves regular reporting on backup performance, adherence to data protection standards, and participation in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid skills in Backup Solutions and Backup & Recovery Systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills.
- Candidates should possess experience working with Data Domain or similar backup and storage technologies.
- Good understanding of data protection, retention policies, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) and related backup tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certification or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
