Role Overview

We're looking for a Finance Team Lead to own the end-to-end finance and accounts function at Touch Down Earth. This role combines hands-on accounting with team leadership, ensuring accurate books, timely billing, strong collections, statutory compliance, and insightful financial reporting to the Founder.

Key Responsibilities
- Own bookkeeping, ledgers, bank & credit card reconciliations, vendor payments, and accounting in Tally (or equivalent).
- Lead, mentor, and review the work of the Billing and Credit Control Executives.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, debtor reconciliations, and quality checks before invoice dispatch.
- Oversee collections by monitoring ageing reports, follow-up discipline, and personally handling high-value or escalated accounts.
- Deliver monthly MIS (P&L;, cash flow, receivables/payables ageing, compliance status) to the Founder without reminders.
- Manage annual financial closure, including Balance Sheet, P&L;, Fixed Asset Register,



and related financial statements within two months of the financial year-end.
- Handle GST, TDS, statutory compliance, filings, and coordinate with CAs and auditors.
- Liaise with banks and credit card companies for smooth financial operations.
- Supervise payroll and employee reimbursements.
- Monitor operating expenses, identify cost overruns, and prevent billing errors, duplicate payments, or revenue leakage.
- Work closely with Sales and Operations on billing terms, credit limits, and payment-related issues.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first six months, you will:
- Deliver accurate monthly MIS on time without follow-ups.
- Improve collections and reduce DSO through disciplined review of ageing reports.
- Ensure zero missed statutory deadlines or penalties.
- Build a high-performing finance team with transparent accountability and proactive error detection.
