Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility will be to extensively work on optimizing material flow using
bluebotics
simulation software.
- Creating AGV simulation models, optimizing AGV routes, identifying number of AGVs required and analyzing traffic congestion.
- Understand manufacturing process of various product lines and Develop and validate
Discrete Event Simulation (DES)
models for current and future manufacturing layouts using
FlexSim
(preferred) or equivalent tools.
- Simulate and evaluate production systems to identify bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and enhance throughput and efficiency.
- Analyze different manufacturing scenarios and recommend the most cost-effective and effective solutions.
- Support capacity planning, line balancing, and layout optimization for both existing and expansion projects.
- Interpret the result and present the findings as business insights
- Create alternate options in process to improve process output
- This position will be responsible for providing solutions and in the manufacturing/industrial engineering sector for different business units of Kohler Co.
- Additional focus would also be managing multiple projects for multiple Kohler locations and executing them on time and delivering them to customers
Industrial Engineering & Continuous Improvement:
- Apply core
IE methodologies
such as
Cycle Time Analysis, MTM, Ergonomics, and Value Stream Mapping
to drive process improvements.
- Utilize
Lean tools
(5S, Kaizen, SMED, Poka-Yoke, etc.) to eliminate waste and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design optimized manufacturing systems aligned with productivity and quality goals.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead simulation projects from concept to delivery, ensuring stakeholder alignment and timely execution
- Train and mentor new team members on FlexSim and simulation best practices.
