Job Overview

The Junior Tool Die Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production tools, dies, and jigs to support smooth manufacturing operations. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the role focuses on equipment maintenance, machining support, and ensuring the proper condition of tooling used in production.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of production tools, dies, and jigs.

Troubleshoot tooling issues both online and offline under the guidance of senior engineers.

Maintain tooling documents such as check sheets, logbooks, and history cards.

Carry out maintenance work using lathes, milling machines, and surface grinding machines.

Read and understand 2D and 3D drawings, including hand sketches.

Inspect and repair production tools and jigs to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Support Tool Room and Production teams with daily maintenance activities.

Follow company safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.





Mandatory Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

3 5 years of experience in Tool Die Maintenance, Jig Fixture Maintenance, or a similar manufacturing role.

Robust knowledge of tools, dies, and jigs.

Experience with tooling documentation such as check sheets, logbooks, and history cards.

Knowledge of lathe machining, milling machines, and surface grinding machines.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to perform online and offline troubleshooting of tools and jigs.

Knowledge of 2D and 3D drawings, including hand sketch preparation.

Preferable Qualifications

Experience in CNC bending machine maintenance and/or press machine maintenance.

Experience in the automotive or automotive component manufacturing industry.

Experience working for a Japanese manufacturing company is preferred.

Basic English communication skills.
