Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable Back-End services and APIs for cloud-native financial products.
- Primarily developing Back-End services while collaborating across database, infrastructure and, where required, Front-End components.
- Develop primarily using Java 8+, Spring Boot and associated Back-End technologies. Exposure to Python is advantageous.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS together with technologies such as Docker, Nomad, Terraform and contemporary CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong commercial experience developing enterprise applications using Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Participate in code reviews,
technical design sessions and architecture discussions.
- Support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, performant and robust software within agreed delivery estimates and quality standards.
- Contribute to estimation exercises that feed into product roadmaps plans.
- Participate in changes, and continuous improvements, to existing software development, testing and deployment processes.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues across development, test and production environments.
