Job Summary

The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, repairing, and maintaining press tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to ensure smooth production and high-quality output. The role requires expertise in conventional tool room machines, precision measuring instruments, and engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble new press tools and dies.
- Repair and maintain progressive, compound, and blanking dies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and tool designs.
- Operate conventional machines such as Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinder, Radial Drill, and EDM (preferred).
- Perform die spotting, fitting, polishing, and try-out activities.
- Check dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Dial Gauge.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and minimize machine downtime.




- Ensure tools meet quality standards and production requirements.
- Maintain tool history records and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Follow 5S, safety, and quality standards in the Tool Room.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of Press Tools and Die Manufacturing.
- Engineering drawing reading and interpretation.
- Precision fitting and assembly.
- Knowledge of heat treatment and tool steels.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Teamwork and attention to detail.

Preferred Knowledge
- Progressive Dies
- Compound Dies
- Blanking & Piercing Tools
- Jig & Fixture Manufacturing
- Tool Maintenance
- CNC/EDM basics (preferred)

Working Conditions
- Manufacturing / Tool Room environment.
- Ability to work in shifts if required.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use PPE.

Salary

As per experience and company standards.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹37,680.89 per month
