We are looking for a CANoe/CAPL Test Engineer to join a project with our client, a globally leading automotive company based in the Munich area. You will work on validating ECU and vehicle system functions in a Labcar/HiL environment, developing automated test scripts, and analyzing complex vehicle communication data.
Responsibilities
- Support the validation of ECU (control unit) and system functions in the Labcar environment and on HiL systems
- Create, maintain, and extend test setups using CANoe to validate complex vehicle functions
- Develop CAPL scripts for automated tests, simulations, and residual bus simulations
- Conduct functional, integration, and regression tests, ensuring sustained test coverage
- Analyze and evaluate measurement data from .blf and .mdf logs to identify anomalies
- Investigate communication processes on CAN, LIN, and FlexRay buses
- Perform structured fault/error analysis and support sustainable troubleshooting
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with CANoe and CAPL script development
- Solid knowledge of Labcar and/or HiL setups, plus implementation support and error analysis
- Confident use of the Vector Tool Suite and Vector HiL environments; strong working knowledge of .blf and .mdf files
- Knowledge of Functional Safety and Security (preferred)
- Experience with dSPACE ControlDesk (advantageous)
- Analytical, structured working style; able to independently drive technical problem-solving
