We are looking for experienced Linux/Platform engineer with great monitoring skills and the person who can work without supervision. There will be no people who work with him and train on necessary tools. The role is to join the project, asses current infrastructure, observability, identify areas for improvements and start working on improving them.

Mission

Bring visibility, monitoring, and control to a complex file transfer platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end observability:
- transfer tracking
- queue monitoring
- latency metrics
- Improve alerting (reduce noise, increase signal)
- Instrument legacy + USS systems
- Build dashboards for:
- incidents
- system health
- Partner with AI team to enable data-driven insights

Required Skills
- Robust Linux
- Strong experience with:
- Splunk / Dynatrace / Prometheus / Grafana
- Experience debugging distributed systems
- Experience with performance tuning

Nice to Have
- Mainframe / USS exposure
- File transfer / batch systems
