Position: Sr. Staff / Assistant Manager – Legal

Job Purpose

To provide legal support to the India Administrative Centre by ensuring legal compliance, managing contracts, supporting business operations, and coordinating with the Headquarters Legal Department on various legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring legal compliance for India operations and provide legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage various agreements and develop standard contract templates.
- Establish, review, and update internal policies, regulations, and SOPs.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments, including statutory amendments, case laws, and interpretations, and ensure proper implementation.
- Plan and deliver legal awareness and compliance training programs.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams on legal matters.
- Support internal and external audits and follow up on corrective actions.




- Handle disputes, claims, and participate in negotiations and settlements.
- Provide legal support for real estate matters, including title verification, due diligence, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Provide legal support for engineering and supplier-related matters, including vendor qualification, procurement contracts, engineering agreements, and dispute resolution.
- Perform other legal assignments as delegated by management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university in India.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate workplace.
- Enrollment with the relevant State Bar Council and possession of a valid Enrolment Certificate.
