Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a focused and capable QA Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications. This role emphasizes hands-on automation using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript), collaboration with cross-functional teams, and integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. The successful candidate will contribute to reliable, scalable software delivery and actively participate in process improvements, with a solid emphasis on quality and efficiency in an Agile environment.
Software Requirements
Required Skills (Essential)
- Proficiency in Playwright for automated testing of web applications (JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks
- Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman or automated approaches
- Solid understanding of SDLC/Agile methodologies and working within cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaboration platforms (GitHub, GitLab,
Bitbucket)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to debug and troubleshoot test failures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting
- Familiarity with test planning, data setup, and test data management
