Head – Project Management & Product Development

Role Purpose

Lead the end-to-end product development and program management function by converting customer RFQs, concepts, and innovative ideas into commercially viable products. Drive cross-functional execution from concept development through engineering, prototyping, validation, industrialization, and successful product launch while ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and timeline objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development & Engineering
- Lead product development from customer RFQ through concept, design, validation, and production release.
- Translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Develop creative product concepts inspired by customer needs, market trends, benchmarking, and emerging technologies.
- Ensure products meet performance, quality, reliability, cost, and manufacturability targets.
- Lead Design Reviews, Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R;), DFMEA, and Engineering Change Management.

Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership in:
- Sheet Metal Design & Fabrication
- Electrical & Electromechanical Systems
- Mechanical Assemblies
- Welding & Brazing
- Tooling & Fixtures
- Prototype Development
- Guide engineering teams on design optimization, DFM, DFA, and Value Engineering.
- Evaluate new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes.

3. Program & Project Management
- Lead multiple customer development programs simultaneously.
- Own project planning, milestones, budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Drive Stage-Gate/APQP execution from RFQ to SOP.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer expectations.

- Act as the primary technical interface with customers during development.
