Cloud Database Engineer
Location: Mooresville, NC
Duration: 6 months contract, Contract to Hire
Interview Process: Phone- Skype or F2F

Responsibilities:
Knowledge in Public or Private cloud technologies like GCP, AWS and Openstack etc
Experience working with various types of distributed and NoSql Databases like Couchbase, Cassandra, Neo4j
Experience working with any cloud managed data services like CloudSQL, Spanner, Dataproc
Experience in NoSQL data modeling and schema design
Knowledge of design and implementation of Messaging technologies like Kafka and google pub/sub
Implement HA solution and define Backup/Recovery strategy
Experience with Performance and Tuning of Databases and messaging technologies
Experience in CI/CD tools and processes used in cloud environments like Spinnaker, Jenkins etc
Experience with automating the infrastructure set up using the tools, preferably terraform and Python, consul template, Golang.
Experience in Database and messaging security
Participate in on call support

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field




6-9 years of experience in software development working for reputed organizations
Prior development experience in setting up and administration of highly scalable distributed data using
o Couchbase, Cassandra, Neo4j
o CloudSQL, Spanner, Dataproc
o Setting up CI/CD tools and Database as a Code practices, tools like Datical, Redgate, , Liquibase, Flyway
Part of engineering systems using Eventual Consistency, CQRS and CAP Theorem design patterns
Experience in setting up and administering disaster recovery environments across private and Cloud applications
Must have worked in teams using Agile methodologies and practices
Positive written and verbal communication skills
Ability to write test for your code and monitor them in production
