Essential:

Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences or Biological Sciences, or Chemical Sciences with overall 10+ years of experience in the field of agriculture/agritech/agritechnology and allied areas in Product development and life-cycle management exclusive experience bridging foundational research and market-ready applications.

Desirable:

Preference will be given to candidates with patents, research publications, and grants, post-doctoral experience in the area of agriculture and allied sectors, and a minimum age limit of 40 years is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Developing and monitoring R&D; plans, maintaining a competitive innovation portfolio, and managing research partnerships. He or she must have a robust base of coordination and technical skills in the area of agriculture and the allied sector that can be flexibly adapted to meet the needs of many different internal and external stakeholders. He or she must understand the unique responsibilities and accountabilities of a multi-agency collaborative, and provide outstanding leadership; communicate professionally; and,



work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a complex team/community effort.

Key Responsibilities
- To drive applied research to move biotech concepts from the laboratory stage through prototyping, testing, and validation.
- To lead and coordinate multi-institutional, mission-oriented research projects
- To foster strategic partnerships with other national/international research institutions, biotech startups, and private corporations
- To formulate strategies for identifying, protecting, and monetizing proprietary information and new technologies
- To recruit, mentor, and retain high-potential scientists, computational biologists, and engineers
- To ensure all lab practices and trials adhere strictly to biosafety and ethical regulations.
