Roles & Responsibilities

Design & Engineering
- Lead mechanical design for data center HVAC and cooling systems chilled water plants, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH, in-row cooling, and precision cooling
- Perform heat load calculations, pump head, ESP, duct sizing, and CHW pipe sizing using HAP / Trace 700 or equivalent
- Prepare P&IDs;, HVAC layouts, equipment schedules, DBRs, BOQs, and technical specifications
- Optimize designs for PUE/WUE targets; ensure compliance with EN 50600, ASHRAE TC 9.9, and Uptime Institute Tier III/IV

Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate across electrical, civil, structural, and IT teams for integrated MEP design
- Maintain Revit MEP BIM models; perform clash detection; review vendor TDS and shop drawings
- Support procurement with technical evaluation of vendor proposals and long lead item tracking

Commissioning & Site Support
- Develop commissioning plans, support IST, and provide remote technical support during construction and handover
- Track and resolve RFIs, site queries, and design change requests





Client & Stakeholder Management
- Attend design review calls with European client team across CET/IST time zones
- Present and defend design decisions; manage review comments and design iterations in English

Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor mechanical engineers and CAD/Revit designers in the Gurugram ODC
- Review deliverables for quality; track team output against project schedule; flag and manage risks

Eligibility Criteria

Education
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering mandatory
- M.Tech in Thermal / HVAC / Energy Engineering preferred
- ASHRAE, LEED AP, BREEAM, or Uptime Institute ATD certification — advantageous

Experience
- 10+ years in mechanical design within an engineering consulting workplace
- 5+ years on large-scale infrastructure — data centers, airports, metros, hospitals, or mission-critical facilities
- Full design cycle experience from schematic through construction issue
