Summary:
The position incumbent will be part of technology function, independently pursue polymer chemistry (Silicone and non-silicone), development efforts and analytical characterization in close collaboration with BU and execute in alignment with project goals.
Evolve as an impactful team player with positive organizational citizenship and use project management skills appropriately to explore new technology aligned with customer/business need, enhance fundamental knowledge of existing products, document intellectual property, and develop scale-up strategy to take product from lab to plant scale.
Responsibilities Include:
- EH&S;: Learn & adhere to safe work practices in lab; Exhibit & promote pro-active safe behaviors in lab activities.
- Responsible for design, synthesis and development of novel silicone/non-silicone polymers, oligomers, or silane materials and formulating for various applications in multiple segments
- Demonstrate the ability to understand market / customer need and tailor the development work.
- Work inclusively in close collaboration with global stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Work collaboratively in a team setting & work with project leaders to execute project plans for timely positive progress – Technical problem-solving aptitude is required.
- Required to effectively communicate the results within CRD and with global partners.
- Conduct IP analysis as required and ensure effective protection of emerging technologies.
- Maintain clear and precise documentation, including daily lab notes and comprehensive technical reports to capture experimental work, innovations and learnings.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Technical Ph.D. with job exp (1-3 years)/M.S./M Tech with research/work experience (general guidelines: 3-5 years). Technical B.S./ B Tech with 5-7 years research experience.
- Strong EH&S; and lab discipline, with proven adherence to safety protocols and good laboratory
