Summary:
This role is critical in strengthening the organization’s operational technology (OT) cybersecurity posture by ensuring robust network architecture, secure segmentation, and consistent enforcement of security policies across manufacturing sites. The incumbent will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and technology teams to assess, enhance, and standardize OT network environments. By defining and implementing secure reference architectures, optimizing firewall configurations, and supporting incident response, the position plays a key role in safeguarding critical automation and lab systems. The role emphasizes proactive risk mitigation through defense -in -depth strategies, ensuring alignment with internal security principles and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Sites, Engineering, and Technology teams to evaluate existing OT network architecture, strategy, and operational processes.
- Analyze, design, and implement improved OT firewall VLAN structures in alignment with internal network segmentation standards.
- Develop and deploy standardized reference architectures for OT services and applications to ensure consistency and security.
- Define, review, and approve OT firewall rules to enable secure integration with IT and MES systems while preserving the integrity of automation infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to site change requests, ensuring timely implementation with appropriate urgency to reduce cybersecurity exposure.
- Provide technical support during cybersecurity incident recovery and investigations across OT environments.
- Partner with sites to implement comprehensive cybersecurity protections for automation and laboratory systems using defense -in -depth principles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an IT/OT Network or Cybersecurity skilled
- Proven expertise with Palo Alto Firewalls in OT environments
