We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who will support our development of new and existing products. Conducts feasibility studies and testing recent and modified designs. Evaluates existing mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging processes to enhance performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Oversee detailed design activities, testing procedures, and prototype development.

JOB ROLE:
- Work on complex mechanical designs for the Electron Microscopy Technologies (EMT) products.
- Utilize Mechanical Engineering analytical skills to solve problems
- Attend online meetings, design reviews, and other online activities on the Pacific Coast (PST) time zone.




- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Participate in VAVE (Value Analysis Value Engineering).
- Break down difficult technical concepts and communicate with team members.
- Conduct design reviews at peer, program and upper management levels as needed.
- Create 3D solid models from conceptual stage to release of 2D and assembly drawings into production.
- Design sheet metal parts.
- Assemble and test prototypes and pre-production units.
- Interface with vendors and manufacturing personnel to ensure manufacturability and design performance.
- Design tooling and fixtures.
- Design understanding of heat transfer and thermal cooling methods including water circuit and TEC design.
- System level understanding of electro-mechanical design.
