URBN is looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to join the Global Trade & Compliance team to help support our global business. In this role, the Sustainability Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring responsible materials are tracked, reliably reported, and have associated third party certifications. The Coordinator will support the Sustainability Manager with critical global memberships and communication with suppliers. They will support evolving requirements for regulation that require information on environmental impacts.
Role Responsibilities
Cotton Partnerships (BCI and USCTP)
- Pull BCI reports from Better Cotton Platform and match with style and fabric level data. Support with data needed for Monthly BCI report to fabric team.
- Review all units marked as US Cotton monthly for PO uploads to Textile Genesis for USCTP traceability. Support with data needed for Monthly US Cotton report to fabric team.
- Support fabric teams and in-region support following up with key vendors currently sourcing through BCI and USCTP.
Responsible Materials Reporting
- Support collection and upload of relevant certificates and submit synthesized style sheets that are ready for approval to manager. Support brand teams with certificate approvals for key marketing moments like Earth Month.
- Monitor reporting for any material marked responsibly sourced, but missing certifications. Communicate data gaps and certifications needed on a rolling basis to ensure accurate and verified reporting.
- Own in-region communication on responsibly sourced raw materials and certification requirements. Aligning with other regional offices and in-region support for fabric teams.
In-Region Suppliers Support
- Support supplier onboarding for sustainability partnerships (USCTP, Birla, Lenzing, BCI, Regen, etc) and be the main point of contact for ongoing questions, escalating any issues to manager.
