Job Title: Senior Manager - Resilience, Standards and Embedding
- Operational Resilience sits within the Global Business Risk and Resilience function in the Group Chief Operating Office(GCOO). The Global Business Risk and Resilience function will provide visibility of risk and resilience vulnerabilities, remediation activity and strategic guidance regarding potential exposure and impacts, including internal and external environmental changes, and embed robust risk management processes and strategic outcomes globally across all GCOO teams. The function encompasses Controls Office, Operational Resilience, Protective Security, Business Continuity and Incident Management, Third Party Risk Management, and the Services Company (ServCo).
- Operational Resilience is a key priority for the organisation. It is the ability to anticipate, prevent, adapt, respond to, recover and learn from operational disruptions while minimising customer and market impact. At HSBC, we do this through the identification and management of our Significant Business Services (IBS).




- The Global Operational Resilience team is responsible for shaping, delivering and embedding operational resilience capabilities at HSBC. This is achieved through collaboration with the four businesses lines and entities. The team is comprised of five Operational Resilience Capabilities: 1. Strategy, Standards, & Embedding 2. Threat Intelligence Monitoring & Planning 3. Scenario Test Planning & Execution 4. Governance, Reporting, & Industry Insights 5. Global Delivery & Consistency
- The Strategy, Standards, & Embedding team is responsible for the delivery of the firms Operational Resilience strategy in line with regulatory requirements and business priorities. It defines and maintains the operational resilience procedures, providing expert advice, guidance and training to the entities, business and Group Infrastructure teams to build and embed operational resilience capabilities, defining tooling and automation standards.
