We are looking for a skilled Engineer I, Product Development to support the sustaining and new product development for fiber connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design issues, and recommend and document effective solutions.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

Engineering Expertise
- Create documentation of product requirements based on industry standards.
- Support designs of recent components and assemblies.
- Create documentation to support the release of new and modified products.
- Support the optical and mechanical testing of fiber optic products.
- Work with Manufacturing on process development and introductions of new products into Manufacturing.
- Perform data analysis and evaluation.
- Leads and maintains project scopes, tracks Product Development projects, and ensures timely completion of project timelines and milestones.
- Conducts Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to assess product criticality and ensure design robustness.




- Review and approve product design and engineering change documentation for conformance to company, customer, agency and industry specifications and standards

Collaboration and Communication
- Accountable to Engineering Management in support of the business unit growth objectives.
- Collaboration with current staff which includes other engineers and technicians in team
- Collaborates with global design centers and manufacturing sites to resolve design and manufacturing issues, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
- Develop awareness of corporate, business unit and quality management system documentation.
- Develop awareness of relevant industry standards for fiber optic products
- Develop awareness of the range of lab test equipment.
- Develop knowledge of fiber optic products and technical principals.

Process Excellence
- Ensures seamless design, documentation, and product change management processes.
