Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with standards such as ISO 9001
- Oversee inspection activities for raw materials, in-process fabrication, and final products
- Review and approve fabrication drawings, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and quality plans
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closure
- Coordinate with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality concerns
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, codes, and standards (ASME, ASTM, etc.)
- Supervise and mentor quality inspectors and junior engineers
- Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits
- Monitor KPIs related to quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and record-keeping
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 8 - 12 years of experience as a quality inspector/QA-QC Engineer.
- Certification in Quality (e.g., Six Sigma Green/Black Belt – preferred)
- Robust knowledge of fabrication processes (welding, cutting, rolling, machining, assembly etc.)
- Familiarity with NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT)
- Hands-on experience with quality tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC)
- Knowledge of international standards (ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, etc.)
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T;
- Experience with SAP/QMS systems
Preferred Experience

- Experience in heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, structural steel, Skid fabrication & Verification
- Exposure to customer audits and third-party inspections
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen
