Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced legal leader to head the legal function across the APAC region (excluding China) for a global automotive supplier, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with global legal standards. Your tasks include:
- Lead the Legal function across multiple APAC (excl. China) jurisdictions
- Manage and develop a geographically dispersed, multicultural legal team
- Act as primary legal advisor to regional leadership on complex cross-border matters
- Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal guidance in line with global strategy
- Oversee all regional legal activities (commercial, corporate, regulatory, governance)
- Identify and mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies
- Support key business initiatives such as market expansion, partnerships, and restructuring
- Manage significant disputes and external counsel across the region and report legal risks
- Serve as the key interface between APAC leadership and global Legal & Compliance
Qualifications
- Fully qualified lawyer with a law degree from a reputable university and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction
- Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an international law firm and/or
