Job Summary

The Senior Service Engineer / Service Manager is responsible for leading the Volvo Penta after-sales service business, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, technical excellence, and service profitability. The role includes managing service engineers, planning field service activities, handling warranty cases, supporting sales with technical expertise, and maintaining compliance with Volvo Penta service standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Service
- Carry out commissioning, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of Volvo Penta marine and industrial engines.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic engine issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).
- Support customers during emergency breakdowns.
- Ensure all service work complies with Volvo Penta technical standards.





Team Management
- Lead and supervise service engineers and technicians.
- Allocate service calls and monitor completion timelines.
- Conduct technical training and mentoring for junior engineers.
- Evaluate team performance and improve productivity.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower and resources.

Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Conduct customer visits for service reviews and technical discussions.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Warranty & Technical Support
- Process warranty claims as per Volvo Penta procedures.
- Coordinate with Volvo Penta technical support for complex cases.
- Maintain detailed warranty documentation.
- Analyze recurring failures and recommend corrective actions.
