Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

Design, develop, and modify 3D mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor).
Generate manufacturing drawings, GD&T; annotations, and detailed documentation as per engineering standards.
Develop and optimize CAM toolpaths for CNC milling, turning, and cutting operations.
Create and simulate G-code and machining strategies to ensure precision, tool life, and material efficiency.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of components.
Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) or simulation for stress, deformation, and thermal properties to validate designs.
Review and modify existing designs for continuous improvement, weight reduction, and assembly simplification.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain design databases for revision control and documentation.
Work closely with CNC operators to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize production parameters.




Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, or BIS standards and contribute to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews.
