? Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain – Write clean, standards-compliant PHP (PSR-12, Composer, a framework like Laravel/Symfony). Turn requirements into working features and fix bugs across application logic and the database.
- Design features – Own how a feature is built: structure the code, design database tables, and define APIs — not just follow instructions.
- Quality and security – Write tests, review others' code, and handle the essentials safely: prepared statements, input validation, and protection against SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
- APIs and integrations – Build and consume REST APIs, and integrate third-party services from their docs independently.
- Work independently – Take an unclear requirement, ask the right questions, break it down, estimate, and deliver without hand-holding. Know when to decide alone and when to escalate, and flag blockers early.
