Key Responsibilities

* Operate and monitor ammonia refrigeration systems, compressors, condensers,
evaporators, pumps, and associated equipment.
* Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities as
per the maintenance schedule.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation faults
in refrigeration equipment.
* Monitor system parameters such as pressure, temperature, oil levels,
refrigerant levels, and compressor performance.
* Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, abnormal vibrations, and
equipment defects.
* Ensure compliance with ammonia handling procedures and safety regulations.
* Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and operating
parameters.
* Supervise contractors during shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance
activities.
* Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintain inventory records.
* Participate in emergency response activities related to ammonia leakage or
equipment failure.
* Implement energy-saving and reliability improvement initiatives.




* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company safety standards.

Experience

* 5–8 years of experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
* Experience in food processing, cold storage, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical,
or industrial manufacturing plants is preferred.

Technical Skills

* Operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems.
* Screw and reciprocating compressors.
* Refrigeration control systems and PLC-based automation.
* Pumps, valves, cooling towers, evaporative condensers, and heat exchangers.
* Preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
* Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
* Reading P&IDs; and engineering drawings.
* Safety standards related to ammonia refrigeration.
