Position: IBDP Economics Teacher

Department: Academics International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
Reports To: Head of Department / Head of School

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-centered IBDP Economics Teacher to deliver engaging and inquiry-driven learning experiences aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop analytical thinking, evaluate real-world economic issues, and cultivate a global perspective while preparing them for academic success.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning
- Deliver high-quality instruction in IBDP Economics (SL & HL) in accordance with the latest IB curriculum.
- Design engaging lessons that promote inquiry, critical thinking, and conceptual understanding.
- Integrate real-world economic events, case studies, and current affairs into classroom learning.
- Develop students' quantitative, analytical,



and evaluation skills through data interpretation and economic analysis.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative classroom setting that encourages discussion and independent learning.

Curriculum Planning
- Prepare annual curriculum plans, unit planners, lesson plans, and assessment schedules aligned with IB standards.
- Differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Assessment & Reporting
- Design formative and summative assessments aligned with IB assessment objectives.
- Prepare students for Internal Assessments (IA), examinations, and extended response writing.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Maintain accurate academic records and prepare progress reports.

Student Development
- Mentor and guide students in academic and personal growth.
- Encourage participation in debates, Model Uni
