About the Team
The Walmart DataStage team plays a critical role in supporting enterprise data integration, ETL processing, and data movement across key business platforms. The team is focused on maintaining a stable and reliable DataStage and NextGen environment while driving improvements in performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
What You ll Do
Platform Installation & Configuration
- Install, configure, and patch IBM InfoSphere Information Server (DataStage 11.7).
- Install, configure, and patch Cloud Pak for Data (CPD) including Next Gen DataStage (5.2.x / 5.3.x).
- Perform version upgrades and migrations of DataStage environments.
Deployment & Release Management
- Support code promotion and deployment of ETL assets across environments (DEV, QA, PROD).
- Work with release management processes and ensure smooth pipeline transitions.
Operational Support
- Monitor DataStage job executions and ETL pipelines.
- Troubleshoot job failures and performance issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Respond to production incidents and ensure timely resolution.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with:
- Development teams
- Database Administrators (DBAs)
- OS/Infrastructure teams
- Business users and stakeholders
