Experience Level: Open (We value hungry, fresh graduates with killer portfolio projects just as much as seasoned industry professionals)
About Bear Systems
Bear Systems is an agile, rapidly growing aerospace and technology venture dedicated to building next-generation autonomous UAV platforms and proprietary, defensive-grade hardware from the ground up. We bypass traditional corporate bureaucracy to deliver high-velocity, cutting-edge drone infrastructure. If you are passionate about seeing your digital designs rapidly transition from simulation software to live field deployments, this is your launchpad.
Position Summary
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our core engineering team. You will own the end-to-end mechanical design, structural architectures, and aerodynamic optimization of our upcoming tactical UAV systems.
Your mission will be split between two high-stakes tracks: mastering high-fidelity CAD modeling and utilizing advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
tools (like ANSYS) to simulate, iterate, and validate aerodynamic performance and structural integrity before we hit production.
Key Responsibilities
Aerodynamic & Thermal Simulation: Lead and execute high-fidelity CFD simulations using ANSYS (Fluent/CFX) to optimize aerodynamic lift, minimize parasitic drag coefficients, and analyze internal thermal performance/cooling of enclosed electronics.
End-to-End Mechanical CAD Design: Conception, 3D modeling, and mechanical engineering of modular airframes, internal structural mounts, and intricate sub-assemblies using SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion360.
Production-Ready Documentation: Generate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;) compliant 2D technical drawings and clean 3D models optimized for precise manufacturing.
