About the Role

KVM Public School is seeking a dedicated and organized School Librarian to manage our library resources and foster a positive reading culture among our students. The ideal candidate will maintain our library collection, assist students and staff in accessing information, and promote literacy through engaging programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Collection Management: Catalog, organize, and maintain the library’s collection of books, journals, and digital resources.
- Student Support: Assist students in locating appropriate reading materials and provide guidance on research techniques for their academic projects.
- Library Operations: Manage daily circulation (issuing/returning of books), maintain inventory records, and ensure the library environment remains conducive to study.
- Literacy Promotion: Organize reading initiatives, book displays, and other events that encourage students to develop a love for reading.
- System Maintenance:



Utilize library management software to keep records accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaboration: Work with teachers to provide supplementary resources that align with the school curriculum.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc / M.Lib.I.Sc) from a recognized university.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in computer applications and library management software.
- Strong organizational and cataloging skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school library setting is preferred but not mandatory.
