Role Description
The Sous Chef – Continental at 38 Barracks will support the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting continental dishes that align with the restaurant’s standards and theme. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing kitchen operations during service, supervising junior kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and consistency, and ensuring timely preparation of menu items. The role involves participating in menu development, portion control, inventory management, and adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.



This is a full time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, requiring close collaboration with the culinary and service teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in continental cuisine preparation, cooking techniques, and plating, with experience in a high-volume or themed restaurant setting.
- Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain smooth kitchen workflows during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and kitchen hygiene practices, with a focus on compliance with local regulations.
- Experience in inventory control, basic cost management, and efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with chefs, service staff, and management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations
