We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled SolidWorks Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Machine Design, Plant Layout/Design, and Sheet Metal Design. You will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and executing engineering designs from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Design: Design and develop detailed 3D models and 2D assembly drawings of industrial machines and mechanical components using SolidWorks.
- Plant Design & Layout: Create efficient plant layouts, piping designs, and structural arrangements.
- Sheet Metal Design: Design sheet metal enclosures, structures, and parts, ensuring proper bend allowances, flat patterns, and manufacturing feasibility.
- DFM/DFA: Ensure all designs align with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- BOM Generation: Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
- Collaboration:
Coordinate with the production and fabrication teams to resolve design issues and support the manufacturing process.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (3D Modeling, Sheet Metal, Assembly, and Drafting).
- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in Machine Design, Plant Design, and Sheet Metal fabrication.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, welding symbols, sheet metal bending, and engineering materials.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to produce highly accurate GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) drawings.
- Education: BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
