Coordinating with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
Familiarity with shipping terms (Incoterms)
Verifying Import documents such as (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB) ,Certificate of Origin, Machine Catalogues, End use letters, Insurance documents, etc.)
Ensuring compliance with import regulations, customs laws, and government policies.
Calculating import costs, including freight, insurance, customs duties, GST, and other charges.
Coordinating with finance team for timely Duty payments.
Coordinating customs clearance and resolving any customs-related issues.
Filing Bill of entry timely to avoid any additional late filing charges.
Managing import licenses, permits, and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
Tracking shipments and updating on shipment status.
Prepare E-Way Bills for the transportation of imported goods from the port to the plant or warehouse.
Liaising with transporters and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of imported goods.
Maintaining import records and preparing reports.
Timely submission of Bill of entries in Bank for IDPMS Closure.
