Job Summary

The Nursing Educator is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing education and competency development programs to ensure high standards of patient care. The role focuses on enhancing clinical knowledge, skills, and qualified competencies of nursing staff through orientation, in-service education, competency assessments, and continuous professional development, while ensuring compliance with NABH standards and hospital policies.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Education & Training
- Plan and implement the annual nursing education and training calendar based on Training Need Analysis (TNA).
- Conduct induction and orientation programmes for newly recruited nursing staff.
- Organize and deliver in-service education, Continuing Nursing Education (CNE), workshops, and skill development programmes.
- Conduct mandatory trainings including:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Infection Prevention & Control (IPC)
- Fire & Safety
- Biomedical Waste Management (BMW)
- Medication Safety
- Patient Safety Goals
- Code Blue & Emergency Response




- Documentation Standards
- Develop lesson plans, presentations, competency checklists, and training materials.

Clinical Competency Management
- Assess clinical competencies of nursing staff through practical demonstrations, return demonstrations, and competency evaluations.
- Conduct annual competency assessments and maintain competency records.
- Identify knowledge and skill gaps and recommend appropriate developmental interventions.
- Provide bedside teaching and clinical mentoring to nursing staff.

Quality & NABH Compliance
- Ensure nursing education programmes comply with NABH standards, statutory requirements, and hospital policies.
- Participate in internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities.
- Promote evidence-based nursing practice and patient safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with infection control practices and standard nursing protocols.
