The Research Officer will support clinical, epidemiological, and operational research activities within the Cancer Centre. The role involves data management, statistical analysis, research coordination, and contributing to evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and institutional research output.

Key Responsibilities

Design, coordinate, and execute clinical and non-clinical research projects
Collect, manage, and validate research data ensuring accuracy and integrity
Perform statistical analysis using appropriate software tools
Prepare research reports, abstracts, and manuscripts for publication
Assist in protocol development, ethical submissions, and regulatory compliance
Maintain research databases and documentation systems
Collaborate with clinicians, geneticists, and multidisciplinary teams
Support audits, quality improvement initiatives, and outcome tracking
Present findings in internal meetings and academic forums

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

Certification and hands-on experience in MS Access and MS Excel




Experience in using statistical analysis software (SPSS / R / STATA / SAS / Python or equivalent)
Solid academic background in Statistics or a related field

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Prior experience in research projects (clinical, public health, or operational research)
Previous roles such as Research Officer, Research Analyst, Research Assistant, or Research Associate
Exposure to healthcare or oncology research environments
Familiarity with research methodologies, study design, and biostatistics
Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools
