This is an exciting opportunity to join the St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire Liberal Democrats at a pivotal moment for local and national politics. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to play a leading role in our team through a defining period of growth and electoral success.
The years ahead will bring significant political change. Cambridgeshire is likely undergoing local government reorganisation, which will replace the existing county and district councils with new unitary authorities. That means a major round of elections to fight, before defending the constituency at the next General Election.
This role puts you at the heart of shaping and delivering those winning campaigns.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their first or next steps in a career in politics or campaigning. You do not need to have done this before. What matters is that you are motivated, well organised and eager to learn.
You will receive full training and ongoing support, working alongside some of the party's most experienced campaigners, councillors and an MP, all committed to helping you develop. You will take on real responsibility from the start, and your work will make a direct difference to people's lives and to the success of the campaigns you help run.
Above all, this role calls for a solid self-starter: someone who can manage their own time and workload, take the initiative and deliver clear results. If you are the kind of person who sees what needs doing and gets on with it, this role is for you.
