Job Summary:
The Nursing In-Charge will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, maintaining quality patient care standards, managing daily nursing operations, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and hospital policies. This role requires leadership, hands-on clinical knowledge, and strong administrative capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff, maintain duty rosters, and ensure proper shift handovers.
- Oversee patient care delivery and ensure all clinical procedures follow safety and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with doctors and other departments for smooth patient management.
- Ensure timely availability of nursing supplies, linen, and equipment.
- Implement infection control, biomedical waste handling,
and hospital SOPs.
- Support audits, inspections (e.g., NABH), and maintain required nursing documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior nursing staff; support training and performance monitoring.
- Address patient complaints related to nursing care and escalate when required.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute with registration from the State Nursing Council.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in hospital nursing, with at least 12 years in a supervisory capacity.
