About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Head to lead plant engineering operations at a Sterile Pharma Manufacturing Unit in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in equipment qualification, utility systems, validation, and regulatory compliance within a sterile/injectable manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain discipline and operational standards across the plant
Provide structured training to technicians and staff
Drive equipment qualification programs (URS, DQ, IQ, OQ & PQ)
Ensure evaluation of all engineering & project-related documentation
Prepare and approve on-the-job training schedules for maintenance staff
Ensure periodic validation of AHU and Purified Water Systems
Oversee maintenance of utility equipment and spare parts inventory
Lead execution of new equipment installation & facility modifications
Ensure annual maintenance of buildings and premises
Approve external agencies for calibration and AMC services
Handle deviations and related documentation
Initiate change controls as applicable
Ensure timely execution of work orders
Maintain overall upkeep of the engineering department
Participate in AMC service management
Certify bills and MRCs (Material Receipt Certificates)
Prepare capital investment justifications and execute new projects
Ensure compliance with cGMP, USFDA, MHRA, and other regulatory requirements for sterile facilities
Drive energy efficiency, EHS (Workplace, Health & Safety), and sustainability initiatives across engineering operations
Liaise with QA/QC, Production, and Regulatory teams for audit readiness (USFDA/EU/WHO-GMP audits)
Manage HVAC, clean room systems, compressed air, nitrogen, and steam generation systems specific to sterile operations
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation for engineering
