Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware (Virtualization) Specialist with OpenStack to manage and support enterprise virtualization platforms and private cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience in VMware vSphere, OpenStack, virtualization technologies, Linux administration, and infrastructure operations. The role involves deployment, administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring high availability of virtualized environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
- Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack cloud environments.
- Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of VMware and OpenStack infrastructure.
- Manage virtual machines, templates, snapshots, cloning, and migrations.
- Configure and maintain VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Distributed Virtual Switches.




- Support OpenStack services such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, and Horizon.
- Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance.
- Troubleshoot virtualization, compute, networking, storage, and cloud-related issues.
- Work closely with Storage, Network, Linux, Security, and Application teams.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and business continuity planning.
- Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA), documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Implement automation using PowerCLI, Ansible, or Shell/Python scripting.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and operational standards.
