Job Summary
We are looking for a PCB Design Engineer to join our EV electronics development team. The candidate will be responsible for schematic design support, multilayer PCB layout development, component placement, routing, design validation, and coordination with hardware, embedded, and manufacturing teams for EV electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design multilayer PCBs for EV electronic systems and power electronics applications.
- Work closely with hardware design engineers for schematic-to-layout implementation.
- Perform component placement, signal routing, impedance matching, and thermal considerations.
- Develop PCB layouts considering EMI/EMC, high-current, and automotive reliability standards.
- Generate manufacturing files including:
- Gerber files
- BOM
- Pick & Place files
- Fabrication drawings
- Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors for proto and production builds.
- Troubleshoot PCB-related issues during validation and testing.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure DFM/DFA compliance.
- Support testing, debugging, and design modifications during product development lifecycle.
- Maintain PCB design documentation and revision control.
Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of PCB layout design principles.
- Experience in multilayer PCB design.
- Understanding of:
- High-speed routing
- Power electronics layouts
- EMI/EMC considerations
- Thermal management
- Grounding & shielding concepts
- Knowledge of automotive-grade PCB design practices.
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Understanding of EV electronics architecture.
