The role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient functioning of mechanical equipment through preventive and breakdown maintenance, as well as support during shutdowns and commissioning activities.
Job Description
A. Maintenance Work
· Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
· Assist in installation, erection, and commissioning during Greenfield project execution.
· Ensure timely rectification of mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
B. Utilities Equipment
· Perform maintenance of:
o Compressors
o Pumps
o Boilers
o Air Dryers
o Cooling Towers (if applicable)
· Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.
C. Rotary Equipment
· Handle maintenance of gearboxes, rotary drums, and other rotating equipment.
· Assist in laser/dial alignment, coupling checks, and bearing replacement.
· Support basic vibration checks and lubrication activities.
D. Material Handling Systems
· Maintain and troubleshoot:
o Belt and screw conveyors
o Bucket elevators
o Bagging and stitching machines
· Ensure smooth and continuous material flow.
E. Basic Maintenance Skills
· Carry out greasing and lubrication as per maintenance schedules.
· Perform tightening, part replacement, gasket and seal changes.
· Assist in equipment alignment and assembly/disassembly activities.
F. Troubleshooting
· Conduct basic fault identification and implement quick rectification.
· Escalate complex mechanical issues to engineers or supervisors with proper details.
G. Drawings Understanding
· Interpret basic P&ID;, General Arrangement (GA),* and equipment layout drawings* to support mai
