Programming
- Create and modify CNC programs for VMC machines using Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi/ Mazak controllers.
- Develop machining processes for valve components such as bodies, bonnets, discs, glands, and adaptors.
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining product quality.
- Perform program proving and troubleshooting.
Machine Setting
- Set up VMC machines, fixtures, cutting tools, and work offsets.
- Ensure correct clamping and alignment of valve castings and forged components.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and obtain QA approval before production.
Machine Operation
- Operate VMC machines efficiently to achieve production targets.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality requirements.
Quality Control
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Height Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, Machinist, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a VMC Programmer, Setter, and Operator in the Tool Room Type Industry.
- Robust knowledge of machining valve components and casting materials.
- Experience with VMC machining centers and CNC controls (Mazak preferred).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.;
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling parameters, and fixture design.
