We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager – Staples to strengthen our sourcing and procurement operations and ensure the availability of high-quality products at competitive prices.

Job Summary

The Procurement Manager – Staples will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement of staples such as rice, pulses, flour, edible oils, sugar, spices, dry fruits, and other grocery essentials. The role involves vendor management, sourcing, negotiations, inventory planning, cost optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted product availability across OLTOWNS stores.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of the Staples category.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers and manufacturers.




- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment terms, and annual contracts with vendors.
- Ensure timely procurement while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Work closely with merchandising, warehouse, and operations teams for demand planning.
- Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and supply risks to optimize procurement costs.
- Ensure consistent product quality and compliance with company standards.
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies to minimize supply disruptions.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and vendor performance dashboards.
- Achieve procurement savings while maintaining quality and service levels.

Eligibility
- Minimum
5 years of experience
in procurement or category buying for Staples.
- Experience in organized retail, FMCG, wholesale distribution, or supermarket chains.
- Solid knowledge
