We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping Executive to manage end-to-end logistics operations for both domestic and export shipments in the handicrafts industry. The role involves handling documentation, coordinating with logistics partners, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage complete shipping operations for domestic and export consignments
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, CHA, and courier partners
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including:
Commercial Invoice
Packing List
E-way Bill
Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
Export documentation as per regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and export procedures
- Plan and execute dispatches in line with delivery timelines
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to internal teams
- Coordinate with production, sourcing, and warehouse teams for dispatch readiness
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, logistics costs, and documents
- Handle shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Manage insurance and claim processes where required
Prferred candidate profile
- Strong understanding of export documentation and logistics processes
- Familiarity with Incoterms and customs clearance procedures
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple shipments under tight deadline
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate in Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain
- Prior experience in handicrafts or export-oriented industry will be plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to coordinate with multiple vendors and logistics partners
- Experience handling peak shipment loads and tight timelines
- Practical exposure to ports, ICDs, and shipping processes is an advantage
