*Role Purpose:*

The Construction Project EHS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and promoting all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities on the construction project. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, company standards, and customer EHS expectations to foster a safe and sustainable working environment.

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure project operations comply with local EHS legislation, company standards, and customer EHS expectations.
- Ensure all relevant permits, licenses and certificates are in place before the commencement of an activity.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery meet both the local legislation and the company standards before they are allowed to be used on site.
- Ensure contractor employees are competent, qualified and certified for the task they are performing.
- Implement and maintain the companys EHS management system at the project level.
- Support the preparation and review of site-specific risk assessments, method statements, and secure work procedures.

Monitoring & Inspections
- Perform or participate in the performance of risk assessments for all construction and pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Conduct daily site safety walks and regular inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
- Verify that subcontractors and workers follow site safety rules, PPE requirements, and safe systems of work.
- Report and track non-conformances, and support corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly EHS key updates, highlights and lowlights.

3. Incident Management
- Perform or assist in incident and near-miss reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure corrective and preventive measures are implemented and communicated.
- Maintain project-level incident records and EHS statistics.

4. Training & Awareness
- Deliver site EHS inductions and toolbox talks.
