Educational Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
- Good computer proficiency, especially MS Excel
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Finance & Accounts
- Prior experience in a manufacturing plant or factory setting is preferred
Role Summary
The Factory Accountant will support the Finance & Commercial functions at the manufacturing plant by managing day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, documentation,
inventory accounting, and financial reporting. The role will work closely with the Factory Finance Manager to ensure accurate financial records, robust internal controls, and timely closure of books.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately within defined timelines.
- Support monthly closure of plant books.
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS and company accounting policies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and cost control activities.
Commercial & Payment Operations
- Process vendor payments after required verification and approvals.
- Prepare Purchase Orders after validating documentation and obtaining approvals.
- Track and record cost centre-wise expenses in coordination with various departments.
- Monitor receivables and payables and reconcile customer and vendor statements.
Inventory & Asset Accounting
- Maintain accurate
