The Head Draftsman is responsible for leading the drafting and technical documentation function

across all FF&E;, bespoke furniture, joinery, and interior fit-out projects. The role ensures the

production of accurate, buildable, and manufacturing-ready shop drawings and 3D models while

managing a team of draftsmen and coordinating closely with Design, Production, Procurement, and

Project Management teams. The Head Draftsman will establish drafting standards, drive quality

control, optimize workflows, and ensure all technical documentation supports effective manufacturing

and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

*Leadership & Team Management*

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Draftsmen and Technical Designers.

• Allocate resources and workloads across multiple projects.

• Conduct technical reviews, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.

• Develop and maintain drafting SOPs, standards, and best practices.

• Drive continuous improvement in drafting efficiency and accuracy.

*Technical Design & Documentation*





• Oversee the development of detailed shop drawings, production drawings, and technical

documentation for bespoke furniture, joinery, and interior fit-out projects.

• Review architectural drawings, interior design packages, FF&E; schedules, and project

specifications.

• Ensure all drawings are manufacturing-ready and comply with project requirements.

• Approve drawing packages before release to production and clients.

• Provide technical solutions for complex design challenges.

*3D Modelling & Visualization*

• Supervise the development and maintenance of detailed 3D models.

• Ensure design intent is accurately translated into production-ready documentation.

• Review and validate construction details, assembly methods, and material applications.

• Support design development and value engineering initiatives.
