About the Role:

The role requires individual to take complete ownership of the purchasing process which involves the procurement and buying of raw materials and packaging as per company’s compliances and at competitive rates.

Duties & Responsibilities
- End-to-end procurement of raw materials and packaging at competitive rates
- Ensure quality is as per company’s compliance policies
- Analyze existing purchasing processes for performance improvement
- Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
- Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
- Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis to come-up long term / short term position strategies
- Identify and develop ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability
- Coordinate with the Innovation team to understand various raw material needs and plan things accordingly
- Responsibilities include negotiating long-term contracts, identifying alternate sources for raw materials,



and overseeing purchase activities for long-term projects and new product launches
- Analyze data to identify trends and improve procurement processes
- Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements

Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in a related field preferred
- 4-7 years of experience in similar role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Prior working experience in the purchasing department in the food or beverage industry is required
- Strong understanding of the market conditions
- Strong knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry
- Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
- Valuable mathematical and analytical skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great team player
